Paulo Carcasci

Paulo Carcasci, born on January 7, 1964, is a Brazilian former racing driver whose career spanned several decades and continents. Carcasci began his racing journey in Europe, making a name for himself in the Formula Ford scene. In 1985, he won the European FF1600 Championship, showcasing his talent by winning races at prestigious circuits like Cadwell Park, Castle Combe, and Brands Hatch. He further solidified his reputation by winning the BBC FF2000 Championship in 1988.

His career truly took off in 1991 when he moved to Japan and secured the All-Japan Formula Three Championship, driving for the TOM'S Racing team. This victory was a testament to his skill and adaptability, as he competed against a highly competitive field. Carcasci also achieved success in the All-Japan Formula 3000 Championship, including a win at Fuji Speedway in 1992.

After his time in Japan, Carcasci's racing career included a one-off International F3000 appearance in 1994 and a brief stint in Indy Lights in 1996. While opportunities to progress into Formula 1 were hampered by financial constraints and super license issues, Carcasci remained involved in motorsport. Notably, he worked in driver management, representing talents like Antônio Pizzonia and Lucas di Grassi. In 2022, after a long hiatus, Carcasci made a return to racing in the GT4 America Series, proving his passion for the sport remains strong.
