Racing Driver Syun Koide

Syun Koide, born on October 26, 1999, is a rising star in Japanese motorsport. The Higashiōsaka native began his single-seater career in 2020 in the F4 Japanese Championship. After a tenth-place finish in his debut season, followed by sixth in 2021 with one win, Koide dominated the 2022 season, clinching the title with an impressive nine race victories. As part of the Honda Formula Dream Project, Koide's career has been steadily progressing through the ranks.

In 2023, Koide stepped up to Super Formula Lights with Toda Racing, where he finished third in the championship and won four races, earning him the top rookie honor. Concurrently, he competed in the GT300 class of the Super GT Series with Team UpGarage, securing two wins alongside Takashi Kobayashi at Okayama and Suzuka. In 2024, Koide continued in Super Formula Lights, moving to B-Max Racing and captured the Super Formula Lights title, demonstrating his consistent pace and racecraft. He also participated in Super Taikyu and Super GT GT300, driving a Civic Type R and NSX GT3 respectively.

2025 marks a significant step in Koide's career as he joins Real Racing in the GT500 class of Super GT and B-Max Racing Team in Super Formula, replacing Iori Kimura. Known for his analytical approach and dedication to improving his driving through meticulous preparation and simulator work, Koide is determined to accumulate knowledge and experience to reach the highest levels of motorsport.
