Racing Driver Ryan WOOD

Ryan Wood is a rising star in the world of motorsport, hailing from Wellington, New Zealand. Born on December 4, 2003, Wood's passion for racing ignited in go-karts, where he achieved considerable success, claiming 10 titles across New Zealand and Australia. His talent quickly propelled him into car racing, and in 2021 he competed in the New Zealand Toyota 86 Championship, showcasing his skills with multiple race wins and pole positions, ultimately finishing third in the series. Wood's impressive performance earned him the Team Porsche NZ scholarship, leading him to race in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Australia.

In 2023, Wood joined Walkinshaw Andretti United (WAU) for their return to the Dunlop Super2 Series. He immediately made an impact, securing multiple race wins and pole positions and finishing third overall in the championship. His outstanding performance in Super2 paved the way for his graduation to the Repco Supercars Championship in 2024, driving the No. 2 Ford Mustang GT for Walkinshaw Andretti United. As he enters the 2025 season, Wood aims to build upon his rookie year, secure his first Supercars trophy, and establish himself as a force to be reckoned with in the series. Outside of racing, Ryan enjoys sim racing, cycling and fishing.
