Macau Guia Race 2025 – World’s Best Touring Car Drivers Return to the Guia Circuit

News & Announcements Macau S.A.R. Macau Guia Circuit October 13

The Macau Guia Race will once again bring together the world’s finest touring car drivers from November 13–16, as the stars of the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour and leading regional contenders face off on the legendary Guia Circuit — one of the most demanding and prestigious venues in motorsport.

The Jewel of the Touring Car Calendar

As the final round of the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, the Macau Guia Race stands as the crown jewel of the international touring car season. The grid features 10 full-season TCR World Tour drivers and around 14 additional entries, representing a truly global field that includes five previous Macau Guia Race winners.

Lynk & Co Cyan Racing Targets Glory

Championship leader Yann Ehrlacher (France) headlines the entry list as he chases a third FIA touring car title for Lynk & Co Cyan Racing. The Swedish-Chinese powerhouse fields a four-car Lynk & Co 03 FL TCR lineup, including:

  • Thed Björk (Sweden) – former world champion and past Macau winner
  • Ma Qing Hua (China) – a Macau Guia Race winner on home soil
  • Santiago Urrutia (Uruguay) – consistent podium contender

This formidable squad makes Lynk & Co a strong favourite for both the race and the title.

GOAT Racing’s Strong Challenge

Veteran Esteban Guerrieri (Argentina) spearheads GOAT Racing as he pursues his first world title. A 2018 Macau winner, Guerrieri will again be joined by Ignacio Montenegro, a rising Argentine star making his Macau debut.

Dušan Borković (Serbia), last year’s Macau Guia Race winner, also returns with GOAT Racing in a Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR to defend his crown.

Hyundai’s Defending Champions

Defending world champion Norbert Michelisz (Hungary) leads an unchanged BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse lineup alongside:

  • Mikel Azcona (Spain)
  • Néstor Girolami (Argentina)

Michelisz clinched his 2024 title in Macau after a tense finale, and his team now seeks to close out another competitive season on top.

CUPRA and Hyundai Customer Teams

Aurélien Comte (France) delivered CUPRA’s first Kumho FIA TCR World Tour victory at Monza earlier this year and heads SP Compétition, which will field two CUPRA Leon VZ TCRs.

HMO Customer Racing from Australia enters two Hyundai Elantra N TCRs for:

  • Josh Buchan, double TCR Australia champion (2023–2024)
  • Ryan MacMillan, rising Australian driver

Buchan impressed at the South Australian round with two top-five finishes, demonstrating strong pace heading into Macau.

Asian Powerhouses and New Talents

Solite Indigo Racing from Korea brings two Elantra N TCRs for Park Junesung and Park Junui, both competing in TCR Europe this year — with Junesung taking a season-ending victory and finishing sixth overall.

JSB Compétition fields 19-year-old French prospect Raphaël Fournier, who scored points earlier in the season at Valencia.

Local favourite Lo Sze Ho (Hong Kong), the 2023 TCR Asia Challenge winner and 2022 Macau Guia Race runner-up, will drive a Hyundai i30 N TCR for Evolve Racing.

Eurasia Motorsport also joins the grid with two Elantra N TCRs for Andy Liang Wenyao and Reignbert Diwa.

Audi Joins the Battle

Adding a fifth manufacturer to the mix, RevX Racing enters an Audi RS 3 LMS TCR for Sean Chang Chien Shang, the current TCR Asia Championship leader. His closest rival, Benny Santoso (Indonesia), will compete in a Hyundai Elantra N TCR with Z.Speed, which also plans to run two additional Elantras for local entries.

A Clash of Champions

With multiple Macau race winners, world champions, and regional stars sharing the same grid, the 2025 Macau Guia Race promises to be one of the most competitive in history. As the final act of the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, the Guia Circuit will once again deliver high-speed drama, razor-thin margins, and the unmistakable thrill of touring car racing at its finest.
