OUR Racing uses the new car CUPRA Leon VZ TCR to attack CTCC

From May 9th to 11th, the 2025 CTCC China Automotive Circuit Professional League will start a new round of competition at Ningbo International Circuit. Mingxing OUR Racing Team will use the new car CUPRA Leon VZ TCR to compete in the CTCC TCR China Championship. The two main drivers He Yuan and Gao Yaou will work together to accumulate data for the new car through pre-race testing and strive to achieve good results in the fierce competition this weekend.

This year, with the strong support of its partners, the champion OUR Racing will compete in CTCC under the title of Mingxing's "Want to Use Car" brand. After the test of the previous opening match in Shanghai, OUR Racing continues to gather in Ningbo and debuts with a new car and a new image.

The CUPRA Leon VZ TCR model will make its debut in the Asian arena under OUR Racing. This latest TCR racing car from CUPRA, a high-performance brand under the Volkswagen Group, is developed based on the historical experience of global events. The design and technology of the whole car surpass the previous generation and are combined with advanced racing configurations. The car is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 340 horsepower and a peak torque of 410 Nm, and is equipped with a six-speed sequential gearbox. Since its debut, the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR model has achieved many good results in the European arena.

During the offseason, OUR Racing's owner Gao Yaou went to the Catalan Circuit in Spain to test drive the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR and experience the car's excellent performance and characteristics. This season, OUR Racing also officially introduced it to the Chinese arena. Preparing for subsequent events through pre-race testing and free practice sessions will become the team's primary goal at this stage.

However, the complex weather conditions at the CTCC Ningbo Station over the weekend brought many challenges to the team. According to the weather forecast, the Ningbo International Circuit will be hit by rain on Thursday and Friday, and will return to sunny weather on Saturday and Sunday. Faced with changing weather conditions, Gao Yaou believes that this is an excellent opportunity to collect track data and find vehicle adjustments: "Although the rain in the past two days will cause some trouble to our test plan, it also provides us with a good testing environment, allowing us to master some of the car's rain performance and adjustment plans, and prepare for future competitions. Of course, the car's dry-land adjustment is also still in the early stages. Next, we will make tactical deployments based on the actual changes in the weather."
