The 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Challenge Sydney Opening Race ended, Absolute Racing multiple car groups reached the podium, and the Pro-Am category won a championship

The 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Challenge ushered in the end of the season opener in Sydney, Australia today. The three cars provided by the Absolute Racing team performed well in the two rounds of the race, won multiple podiums, and successfully won the Pro-Am category championship in the second round of the race, showing strong strength.

Qualifying

In the qualifying on Saturday morning, Brian Changwoo Lee, the driver of car No. 63, performed steadily in the first qualifying session, helping the team to get the fourth starting position in the Pro-Am category. In the second qualifying session, Liang Jiatong drove the No. 63 car to take a step further and won the fifth place in the whole field and the second place in the Pro-Am category.

In the Am category, both teams also performed well. Hairie Oh and Umar Abdullah took third and fourth place in the first qualifying session; in the second qualifying session, Haziq Oh and Dypo Fitramadhan took second and fourth place in the group, respectively, laying a good foundation for the upcoming race.

First round

In the first round of the race on Saturday morning, Brian Changwoo Lee of the No. 63 car steadily advanced in the first half and was not inferior to many professional drivers in the face-to-face dialogue. Liang Jiatong, who took over the baton, continued the pace in the second half and finally crossed the finish line in fifth place and second place in the Pro-Am category. However, due to a collision during the race, he was penalized after the race and finally retreated to third place in the category.

Malaysian brothers Hairie Oh/Haziq Oh, who competed in the AM category for the first time, performed brilliantly and made steady progress in the race. They started from the third place in the category and finished the race in the second place, showing good running-in and growth.

Indonesian driver duo Umar Abdullah/Dypo Fitramadhan made their Super Trofeo debut on behalf of Delta Garage Racing by Absolute Racing. The two drivers finished the race calmly and won the third place in the Am category.

Round 2

In the second round of the race on Sunday, the No. 63 SQDA-GRIT Motorsport team started from the second place in the Pro-Am category. Liang Jiatong and Brian Changwoo Lee cooperated well, relying on the team's excellent pit stop strategy and stable rhythm, and finally won the fourth place in the whole field, successfully won the Pro-Am category championship, which is also the best result of this weekend.

Another HZO Fortis Team car operated by Absolute Racing led the Am category for most of the time, but an accident in the last 15 minutes of the race caused the team to unfortunately fall off the podium. Despite this, the No. 5 team still insisted on finishing the race and won the fifth place in the group.

The Indonesian driver combination of Delta Garage Racing by Absolute Racing continued its stable performance in the second round, finishing the race in fourth place in the Am category, showing a good growth curve.

With the successful conclusion of the Sydney race, the Absolute Racing Team will immediately move to the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia to start the new season of the GT World Challenge Asia Cup.
