Shota Abkhazava

Shota Abkhazava, born on August 12, 1971, is a versatile figure in the world of motorsports. Hailing from Kazakhstan, with Georgian and Russian roots, he is a race car designer, racing driver, businessman, and even a racetrack owner with interests in Russia, Georgia, and Latvia.

Abkhazava's journey began with a strong academic foundation. In 1993, he graduated from the Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University (MADI) as a race car engineer. While studying, he was involved in single-seater projects and worked at the MADI Laboratory of Sport Cars. In 1998, he established his own race car design company and team, "Pilot F3 Engineering," later known as "ArtLine Engineering." His team achieved success in the Formula Three Championship of Russia, securing a champion's title in 2001.

As a driver, Abkhazava has participated in 166 races, achieving 45 wins as of late November 2024. He secured second place in the Legends World Finals in 2008 and third in the Pro division in 2011. He's also a three-time Russian Legend Cup titleholder. In 2014, he joined the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series and, in 2015, won the AM title with Artline Georgia. More recently, in November 2024, he prevailed in the Lamborghini Cup during the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals in Jerez de la Frontera. Beyond racing and team management, Abkhazava has also contributed to motorsports in Georgia by reconstructing the Rustavi race track, now known as "Rustavi International Motorpark," with a substantial private investment. He is also involved with TexolKazService, a company that designs industrial cleaning robots.
