Kazuya Oshima, born on April 30, 1987, is a Japanese racing driver who currently competes in both the Super GT Series and the Super Formula Championship for Toyota Gazoo Racing and ROOKIE Racing. Oshima's career began in karting, where he won the All-Japan Junior Kart Championship in 1999. He then transitioned to formula racing, winning the Formula Toyota title in 2005. In 2007, he was crowned champion of the All-Japan Formula 3 Championship. That same year, he made his debut in the Super GT series in the GT300 class, becoming the youngest driver to ever achieve a pole position and winning the GT300 title in 2007.
Oshima stepped up to the GT500 class in 2009, securing a win in his debut year. His career highlights include winning the GT300 Drivers' Championship in 2007 and the GT500 Drivers' Championship in 2019, making him one of the few drivers to have won championships in both classes of Super GT. He also won the Suzuka Summer Endurance Race in 2009. Outside of Japan, Oshima has achieved significant success at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, with five class wins as a member of Gazoo Racing/Toyota Gazoo Racing. In 2024, he partnered with Nirei Fukuzumi in Super GT.
Oshima's career also includes stints in Formula Nippon (now Super Formula), where he won a race in 2010. He has consistently demonstrated his versatility and skill across different racing categories, solidifying his position as a prominent figure in Japanese motorsport.
