Christian Chia

Christian Chia, born on July 25, 1969, is a Canadian racing driver with a diverse background in motorsports. Chia's career began with rallying in Indonesia before transitioning to touring car racing in 2010. This led him to participate in prestigious events such as the 24 Hours of Spa and the Dubai 24 Hour race. He also gained experience in open-wheel racing, competing in the Formula Renault Asia series.

More recently, Chia has focused on Porsche GT3 Cup cars, becoming a regular competitor in both the GT3 Cup Challenge Canada and the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. In 2023, he returned to the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia series, piloting the #69 992 GT3 Cup car for OpenRoad Racing, marking his return to racing after a hiatus since 2019. A personal highlight for Chia was the Spa 24 Hour race, and he hopes to compete there again in the future.

Chia's experience also includes the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, where he made 22 race starts over six years. His best season was in 2014, co-driving with Remo Ruscitti. Together, they were the top Rookie pairing, winning at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park and securing a second-place finish at Virginia International Raceway, along with three pole positions. Throughout his career, Chia has participated in 96 races, securing 2 wins and 3 podium finishes.
