Zhang Guo Yu

Zhang Guoyu, born in 1984, is a Chinese professional racing athlete. He currently plays for the Beijing Off-Road Team. He is also a versatile driver active in long-distance off-road championships, circuit off-road races and rally championships. He has won awards in the China Auto Off-Road Championship (COC), China Auto Cross-Country Championship (CCR), China Rally Championship (CRC) and other events. He has represented China in the FIA series of off-road events many times, including the Dakar Race, where he has participated four times. In the 2025 Dakar Rally, he and co-driver Wang Yicheng drove the No. 215 car of the China Lehu Team to participate. He successfully completed the first long-distance stage with a total time of 5 hours and 16 seconds, ranking 33rd in the whole race; he ranked 25th in the SS8 stage with a time of 5 hours, 17 minutes and 31 seconds; he finished the SS7 stage on January 12 with a time of 4 hours and 32 minutes, ranking 23rd in the overall result; he ranked 30th in the SS11 stage and 22nd in the overall result. Although he led the Chinese team car group in the first three stages of the marathon stage, he suffered two setbacks such as flat tires in the SS4 stage and finally arrived at the stage camp in 68th place. However, he finally achieved 23rd place in the T1 group of the 2025 Dakar Rally car group, which was also the highest ranking of the Chinese car group in this competition. In addition, in the 2024 Tour of the Alps, No. 115 driver Zhang Guoyu of Shaanxi Yunxiang Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Co., Ltd. became the fifth driver to finish the race that day.
