About Will Brown

Will Brown, born on June 5, 1998, is a prominent Australian racing driver who currently competes in the Repco Supercars Championship with Triple Eight Race Engineering, driving the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving a Chevrolet Camaro for Richard Childress Racing. Hailing from Toowoomba, Queensland, Brown's career began in karting at the age of 13, where he quickly demonstrated exceptional skill, securing numerous junior championships and setting the stage for his ascent through the ranks of Australian motorsport.

Brown's career gained significant momentum in 2016 when he achieved the rare feat of winning both the Australian Formula 4 Championship and the Toyota 86 Racing Series in the same year. This accomplishment placed him among a select few in Australian motorsport history to claim two national titles in a single year. Further demonstrating his versatility, Brown also clinched the TCR Australia Series title in 2019, driving a Hyundai i30 N TCR. In 2017, he was awarded the Mike Kable Young Gun Award and the Peter Brock Medal by the Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS) for his outstanding year in racing.

In 2024, Brown secured his maiden Supercars Championship in his debut season with Triple Eight Race Engineering. His remarkable consistency, marked by podium finishes at every event, set a new standard in the series. He continues to race with Triple Eight, aiming for further championship success. Beyond racing, Brown is also a licensed pilot with an aerobatic endorsement, showcasing his diverse interests and talents.
