Rodrigo Baptista

Rodrigo Baptista, born on September 13, 1996, is a Brazilian racing driver with a diverse career spanning various motorsport disciplines. Hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, Baptista's passion for racing ignited at a young age, leading him to pursue a career in motorsports.

Baptista's early career involved karting, where he achieved several notable results, including runner-up positions in the São Paulo Go-Kart Championship and Copa São Paulo in 2014. He also secured a 3rd place finish in the Brazilian Go-Kart Championship that same year. Progressing through the ranks, he transitioned to Formula 3, participating in the South American F-3 and Brazilian Touring Car Championship. His career gained significant momentum in 2017 when he clinched the Porsche GT3 Cup Brazil championship with an impressive 8 wins, the most of any driver that season. He also secured 4 wins in the Pirelli World Challenge GT4 with Flying Lizard Motorsports.

In recent years, Baptista has been a prominent figure in GT racing, competing in series such as the SRO GT World Challenge America, Blancpain GT World Challenge America, and GT World Challenge Europe. He has driven for renowned teams like Bentley KPAX Racing and Ferrari Scuderia Corsa. 2018 proved to be a stellar year, earning him the Pirelli World Challenge GT3 Rookie of the Year award, becoming the first AM driver to win overall. He continues to add to his racing resume, returning to TCR South America in 2024.
