About Michael Essmann
Michael Essmann is a German racing driver who currently competes in the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland. He drives for CarTech Motorsport. While Essmann hasn't achieved a win, pole position, or fastest lap in the series as of late 2024, he has consistently participated, gaining valuable experience in the highly competitive field. In 2024, he finished 23rd in the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland with 9 points.
Essmann's involvement in motorsports extends beyond his own driving career. His sons, Mike and Stefan Essmann, also race in the Porsche Sports Cup, and the family has a strong connection with the Porsche brand.
Notably, Porsche has even named a unique shade of green, "Essmanngreen," after Michael Essmann, stemming from the color of his company, Elektro Essmann. This special color was first used on his 1992 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.6 (964) and has since been featured on several of his Porsches, solidifying his legacy within the Porsche community.
