Josep Oriola Vila

Josep "Pepe" Oriola Vila, born on July 9, 1994, is a Spanish racing driver with a notable career in touring car racing. Oriola began his racing journey in karting at the age of nine in 2004. By 2009, at the age of 15, he transitioned to touring cars, marking his debut in the Catalan Touring Car Championship and the final rounds of the SEAT León Supercopa Spain, where he quickly achieved a podium finish.

In 2011, Oriola made history by becoming the youngest driver to compete in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) at just 16 years old. Driving a SEAT León for Sunred Engineering, he scored his first championship points early in the season. His early success in WTCC included becoming the youngest driver to stand on the podium and win a race, achievements he accomplished in Brazil in 2011 and Morocco in 2013, respectively. In 2015, he finished as runner-up in the TCR International Series.

Oriola's career continued to evolve, and in 2018, he participated in the World Touring Car Cup, finishing sixth overall. In 2019, he transitioned from CUPRA to Hyundai Motorsport and secured a win in the inaugural 24h race of TCR cars at Spa Francorchamps. He also joined the Changan Ford team in the China Touring Car Championship (CTCC), where he won three races in 2019. In 2021, Oriola added another title to his resume by winning the TCR South America Touring Car Championship.
