Garth Tander

Garth Tander, born on March 31, 1977, is a highly accomplished Australian motor racing driver. Tander's career began in go-karts, where he secured numerous state and national titles. He transitioned to Formula Ford, winning the Australian Championship in 1997. His success opened the door to V8 Supercars, debuting in 1998 with Garry Rogers Motorsport (GRM).

Tander's career highlights include winning the 2007 Supercars Championship with the HSV Dealer Team. He is also a five-time Bathurst 1000 winner, securing victories in 2000, 2009, 2011, 2020 and 2022. He has driven for various prominent teams, including the Holden Racing Team and Triple Eight Race Engineering. In 2023, Tander made a significant switch, joining the Blue Oval and Penrite Racing, co-driving a Ford Mustang with Matt Payne, pursuing his sixth Bathurst win in 2024. Beyond driving, Tander has also contributed to Supercars as a commentator and owns a motor racing team, TanderSport.

Tander's personal life includes his previous marriage to Leanne Ferrier, also a race car driver, from 2004 to 2022. They have two children, Scarlet and Sebastian. His hobbies include motorsports, watersports, cycling, and fitness. With 57 career race wins, he is among the top Supercars drivers of all time.
