Racing Driver Edward Mcdermott

Edward McDermott is a racing driver hailing from the United Kingdom. He has become a familiar name in the British GT Championship, demonstrating his passion for GT racing over several seasons.

In 2023, McDermott partnered with Mikey Broadhurst in a Mercedes-AMG GT4 under the One Motorsport banner, showcasing flashes of competitive performance in the Pro-Am class. He secured a Pro-Am victory at the Silverstone 500. For the 2024 season, McDermott joined Paddock Motorsport, teaming up with reigning British GT4 champion Matt Cowley in a Mercedes-AMG GT4. While new to the team, McDermott brought prior experience with the Mercedes-AMG platform, aiming to build on his previous successes. Although facing challenges at iconic tracks like Spa, he and Cowley managed a best result of fourth overall in GT4, ultimately finishing eighth in the GT4 Pro-Am standings.

For the 2025 season, McDermott has joined forces with 2017 British GT champion Seb Morris and Team Parker Racing to compete in the series' new Endurance Cup, citing time constraints as the reason for focusing on these select events. Driving a Mercedes-AMG GT4, he aims to fight for overall podiums and contribute to the team's championship aspirations. McDermott's car will sport a Zakspeed-inspired livery, while also promoting The Brain Tumour Charity and My Black Dog, reflecting his commitment to these important causes.
