Racing Driver Takuro Shinohara

Takuro Shinohara, born on November 20, 1994, is a Japanese racing driver hailing from Yokohama, Japan. Shinohara has shown versatility across different racing series, making a name for himself in both touring cars and GT racing. In 2020, he captured the TCR Japan Saturday and Sunday Series titles while driving for Audi Team Hitotsuyama. Currently, he competes in Super GT with K2 Leon Racing alongside Naoya Gamou.

Shinohara's career includes participation in the Super GT GT300 class, where he made his debut in 2018. He has driven for teams such as X Works, Pacific - D'station Racing AMR, and Audi Team Hitotsuyama. His Super GT career highlights include a win at Motegi in 2021 with Audi Team Hitotsuyama, leading to a 15th-place finish in the standings that year. He replaced Togo Suganami in K2 R&D LEON Racing. In 2023, Shinohara and Gamou secured 4th place in the Super GT standings.

Prior to his Super GT endeavors, Shinohara honed his skills in the JAF All Japan Kart Championship, Super FJ, and F4 Japanese Championship. His early career achievements include winning the Super FJ title in 2014. Shinohara's progress was further solidified by a Super Taikyu ST-TCR victory at Sportsland Sugo.
