Racing Driver Patrick PILET

Patrick Pilet, born on October 8, 1981, is a highly accomplished French racing driver with a career spanning various motorsport disciplines. A Porsche factory driver since 2008, Pilet has demonstrated his versatility and skill in both single-seaters and GT racing. He began his racing journey in karts, following in the footsteps of his father, a former French karting champion. He progressed through the ranks, winning the French Formula Renault 2.0 championship in 2004 before transitioning to the Formula Renault 3.5 Series.

In 2007, Pilet made a successful switch to GT racing, securing the Porsche Carrera Cup France title. This achievement paved the way for his entry into the Porsche factory driver program. Since then, he has been a prominent figure in international GT racing, achieving significant victories and podium finishes in prestigious events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours of Daytona, 24 Hours of Spa, and 24 Hours of Nürburgring. His accomplishments include an IMSA GTLM championship title in 2015 and a win in the North American Endurance Cup in 2017.

Beyond his racing achievements, Pilet is known for his analytical approach to racing and his passion for golf, where he boasts a handicap of eight. He lives in Noisy-le-Roi with his wife, Guenaelle Longy, a motorsport journalist for Eurosport. Together, they share a love for racing and enjoy hobbies outside of their professional commitments. Pilet continues to compete in the IMSA SportsCar Championship, showcasing his enduring talent and dedication to the sport. As of 2025, he has 46 wins, 125 podiums and 20 pole positions out of 292 starts.
