Hideki Yamauchi

Hideki Yamauchi, born on October 24, 1988, is a highly accomplished Japanese professional racing driver. Yamauchi has built a solid career primarily in the Super GT series, showcasing his talent and consistency over many years. He hails from Hyogo, Japan, and stands at 170cm tall, weighing 61kg.

Yamauchi's career highlights include winning the 2021 GT300 Drivers' Championship with R&D Sport, driving the Subaru BRZ. In that championship year, he also earned the title of GT300 Driver of the Year. He has achieved multiple pole positions and podium finishes in the Super GT series. Notably, in 2010, he secured a win in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship at Sugo, alongside six podium finishes. Beyond Japanese racing circuits, Yamauchi has also participated in international races, including the Nürburgring 24 Hours, where he secured a SP-3T class win in 2015.

Throughout his Super GT career, Yamauchi has driven for various teams, including Gainer and R&D Sport, primarily in the GT300 class. His consistent performance and ability to secure pole positions have made him a formidable competitor. As of late 2024/early 2025, he continues to compete in the Super GT series with R&D Sport. His achievements also include a debut win in the FIA Historic Formula One race at Brands Hatch in 2011.
