SMP F4 - SMP F4 Championship

The SMP F4 Championship is a racing series that adheres to the FIA Formula 4 regulations. Initially established in 2015, it was primarily based in the FIA's NorthEuropean Zone, encompassing countries like Russia and Finland. The championship was launched by SMP Racing in collaborationwith the Russian Automobile Federation, Koiranen GP, and AKK-Motorsport. Theseries utilized Tatuus chassis and Abarth engines. After the 2019 season, the SMP F4 Championshiplost its FIA certification and was subsequently relocated to Russia, where it served as a support series for the Russian Circuit Racing Series,with drivers competing for the Cup of the Russian Automobile Federation. There were plans to revive thechampionship, and it was officially relaunched. The revived series continues to bea crucial step for young drivers transitioning from karting to single-seater racing. The championship emphasizes driver talent by using unifiedcars, which helps to keep participation costs relatively low and minimizes technical competition.
