Yann Ehrlacher

Yann Ehrlacher, born on July 4, 1996, is a French auto racing driver making waves in the world of touring cars. Ehrlacher currently competes in the TCR World Tour for Cyan Performance Lynk & Co. Hailing from a racing family, his mother is former racing driver Cathy Muller, and his uncle is Yvan Muller, a four-time World Touring Car Champion, Ehrlacher has carved his own path in motorsport.

Unlike many of his peers, Ehrlacher didn't begin his career in karting. Instead, he made his debut in a Mitjet 1300 car in 2012, quickly showcasing his natural talent. He further honed his skills in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup before transitioning to touring cars. In 2020, Ehrlacher secured the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) title, a feat he repeated in 2021, solidifying his position as a top-tier driver.

Beyond his WTCR success, Ehrlacher has also participated in the European Le Mans Series, demonstrating his versatility. In July 2023, he had his first experience with Formula E, testing for DS Penske during rookie training at the Rome E-Prix. As of late 2024, he finished fifth in the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour. Ehrlacher's career statistics include 34 wins, 77 podiums, 20 pole positions, and 48 fastest laps across 258 races started.
