Jazeman Jaafar

Jazeman Jaafar, born on November 13, 1992, is a highly accomplished Malaysian racing driver with a career spanning over two decades. Starting at the tender age of six in karting, Jaafar quickly transitioned from a hobby to a full-time pursuit, securing numerous karting championships across Malaysia and Asia, including the Belgian Open Kart Championship Race. His early success led to his single-seater debut in 2006 at age 13 in the Asian Formula Renault 2.0, where he finished third overall. In 2007, he became the youngest-ever winner in Formula BMW Asia and was granted a special exemption to obtain an FIA International C license at just 14 years old.

Jaafar's career boasts participation in several international motorsport championships, including British Formula 3, Formula Renault 3.5, the FIA World Endurance Championship, and the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. A highlight of his career includes winning the Monaco Grand Prix in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series in 2015. In 2019, he was awarded the Petronas International Racing Driver of the Year Award and inducted into the Malaysian Motorsports Hall of Fame following his World Endurance Championship win. He is also a member of the British Racing Drivers' Club since 2012 and was appointed executive director on the board of Sepang International Circuit in 2019.

More recently, Jaafar has found success in GT racing, including the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia series. In 2024, despite missing the opening round, he and teammate Selim Rafique secured third overall in the Pro-Am category with multiple podium finishes, showcasing his adaptability and continued competitiveness in the sport.
