René Binder, born on January 1, 1992, is an Austrian racing driver with a rich motorsport heritage, being the nephew of former Formula One driver Hans Binder and the son of racer Franz Binder. René's career began in karting in 2002, where he achieved notable success, finishing third in the German Junior Kart Championship in 2007 and runner-up in the German Challenger Kart Championship in 2008. Transitioning to formula racing in 2009, he competed in ADAC Formel Masters, securing three podiums and finishing seventh overall. Most recently, in 2024, Binder has been actively participating in the European Le Mans Series, achieving multiple podium finishes in the LMP2 Pro Am class, including races at Mugello and Spa-Francorchamps. He also competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMP2 class.
