Elliot Barbour

Elliot Barbour, born on December 17, 1990, is a versatile Australian racing driver with a career spanning various motorsport categories. Hailing from Melbourne, Victoria, Barbour began his racing journey in go-karts at the age of 13, before transitioning to cars at 16 in the HQ Holden series. Since then, he has competed in the Victorian Porsche 944 Challenge, Mini Challenge, V8 Utes, Australian Formula Ford Championship, Australian Production Car Series, Touring Car Masters, Australian GT Championship, and the Dunlop Super2 Series, showcasing his adaptability across different racing disciplines.

Barbour's career highlights include victories in Formula Ford, the Bathurst 12 Hour, and the V8 Utes series, where he was also named Rookie of the Year in 2013/2014. He has also raced Lamborghinis and McLarens in the Australian GT Series. More recently, he has been a regular competitor in the National Trans Am Series, driving the Pioneer DJ Camaro. In 2018, Barbour assisted Team Triton in developing their Mitsubishi SuperUte, making guest appearances and securing an overall win at Sandown. This contribution led to a full-time drive in the 2019 ECB SuperUtes Series.

Outside of racing, Barbour is a lead driving instructor, utilizing his experience to coach and mentor aspiring drivers. His racing record includes 9 wins, 43 podiums, 4 pole positions, and 9 fastest laps in 261 races entered. Currently, Barbour continues to compete in the Trico Trans Am Series, driving the #75 Pioneer DJ Chevrolet Camaro. He emphasizes the importance of clear communication between the driver and crew, especially in the high-pressure environment of racing.
