Takashi Kogure, born on August 1, 1980, is a highly accomplished Japanese racing driver with a career spanning various top-tier motorsport categories. Kogure began his professional single-seater journey in 2001 in the All-Japan Formula Three Championship, securing the title in 2002 with an impressive 11 race wins. He then transitioned to both Formula Nippon (now Super Formula) and the Japanese Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC), now known as Super GT, in 2003.

In Super GT, Kogure has achieved significant success, including winning the GT500 class championship in 2010 with Loïc Duval. Notably, he is one of the few drivers to have secured championship titles in both the GT300 and GT500 classes. His recent achievements include winning the Super GT GT300 class championship in 2024 alongside teammate Yuya Motojima, driving the No. 88 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo 2 for JLOC. In Super Formula, Kogure recorded seven wins, fifteen pole positions, and achieved his best championship result of third place in 2007.

Kogure's career also includes a stint as a Honda factory driver, contributing to numerous race wins and podium finishes for the manufacturer. Despite a period of absence from Honda's main roster, he continues to be a prominent figure in Japanese motorsport. In 2023, Kogure and Motojima secured a landmark victory at Motegi, marking the first Super GT win for Lamborghini since 2019 and the first for the Huracán GT3 EVO2 in Japan.
