Naoya Gamou

Naoya Gamou, born on November 11, 1989, is a prominent Japanese professional racing driver. Gamou currently competes in the Super GT series for K2 R&D LEON Racing, partnering with Togo Suganami. His career highlights include securing the GT300 class championship in 2018, marking a significant achievement in his racing journey.

Gamou's racing journey includes participation in Formula Toyota Racing School (FTRS), where he passed the exam in 2007 after attending since 2006. He competed in the N class of the All Japan F3 Championship, finishing 12th in the season. Furthermore, Gamou debuted as a driver for Toyota Gazoo Racing at the Nürburgring 24-hour race in 2013 and continued to participate for five consecutive years until 2017, securing a win in the SP3 class in 2014.

In Super GT, Gamou debuted in the GT300 class in 2011, driving for Hankook Tire KTR. He joined Leon Racing in 2014 and achieved his first win in Okayama in 2016. In 2017, he secured victories at the Suzuka 1000km race and the final round at Twin Ring Motegi, finishing second in the annual ranking. Beyond Super GT, Gamou has also achieved success in the Super Taikyu series, winning the ST-4 class in 2017, the ST-1 class in 2020, and the ST-X class in 2023.
