Jonathan Cocker

Jonathan Cocker, born on August 24, 1986, is a British racing driver with a career spanning several racing series and championships. Cocker began his racing journey at the age of 14 in T Cars in 2001. He quickly progressed, entering the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain in 2003 and securing a fourth-place finish. His early promise materialized in 2004 when he became the youngest driver to win the British GT Championship at just 18 years old. The following year, he demonstrated his versatility by winning the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia in 2005.

Cocker's career expanded into international GT racing in 2006, driving an Aston Martin DBRS9 for Barwell Motorsport in the FIA GT3 European Championship and British GT Championship. A notable partnership with Paul Drayson followed in 2007, where they raced a bio-ethanol powered car in the British GT Championship, finishing second. This collaboration continued into the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) in 2008 with Drayson-Barwell Racing, campaigning an Aston Martin Vantage GT2. In 2012, he achieved significant success by winning the ELMS GTE Pro Championship with JMW Motorsport, driving a Ferrari 458 Italia.

Beyond traditional racing, Cocker served as a development driver for Drayson Racing in 2013, achieving a speed of 205.941 mph in the Drayson B12 69/EV electric Le Mans prototype, breaking the flying kilometer record. He also secured a podium finish at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the same year, further highlighting his adaptability and skill in various racing disciplines. Throughout his career, Jonathan Cocker has demonstrated a blend of talent, adaptability, and a drive for success, establishing himself as a respected figure in the world of motorsport.
