Alex Palou

Alex Palou Montalbo, born on April 1, 1997, is a Spanish racing driver who has rapidly become a dominant force in the NTT IndyCar Series. Known for his exceptional talent and strategic prowess on the track, Palou currently drives for Chip Ganassi Racing, where he has secured three series championships in 2021, 2023 and 2024. He is the first Spanish driver to win an IndyCar title.

Palou's journey to the top echelons of open-wheel racing began in karting, where he achieved significant success before transitioning to Euroformula Open, where he finished third in 2014. He further honed his skills in various series, including GP3, Japanese Formula 3, and Super Formula, earning Rookie of the Year honors in Super Formula in 2019. His IndyCar debut came in 2020 with Dale Coyne Racing, before joining Chip Ganassi Racing in 2021. Palou's career stats in IndyCar include 12 wins and 34 podiums in 82 starts.
