Hibiki Taira

Hibiki Taira, born on July 11, 2000, is a Japanese racing driver hailing from Okinawa. He is a rising star in the world of motorsport, currently competing in both Super GT for Hyper Water Racing Inging and Super Formula for TGMGP. Taira's journey began in karting at the age of nine, achieving early success by winning the Okinawa series in 2010. He transitioned to formula racing in 2018, participating in the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship before joining the Japanese F4 series.

In 2020, Taira's career gained significant momentum when he won the F4 Japanese Championship in dominant fashion, securing 10 victories out of 12 races. This achievement led to his promotion to Super Formula Lights with TOM'S, where he consistently performed well, finishing fifth in the championship for three consecutive years. Taira has also made a name for himself in Super GT's GT300 class since 2021. Driving a Toyota GR86 GT300 for muta Racing INGING, he secured three second-place finishes in 2023, ultimately finishing as championship runner-up.

In 2024, Taira got the opportunity to make his Super Formula debut with Team Impul, showcasing his talent in Japan's premier single-seater series. Alongside his Super Formula commitments, he continues to race in Super GT300. Taira is also part of the TGR Driver Challenge Program, highlighting his potential and promising future in motorsports.
