Paul Meijer, born on March 27, 1985, is a Dutch racing driver with a career spanning several racing series. Meijer's journey in motorsports began in karting at the age of 10, participating in both national and international competitions. His early promise led to a season in the Dutch Toyota Yaris Cup after winning a challenge organized by Avaya Communications in 2001. In 2002, he was taken into Formula Ford by ex-Formula One driver Jan Lammers, where he learned the essentials of driving a formula racing car with Racing for Holland and participated in the Benelux Formula Ford Championship. During this time, he also tested the DOME S101 sports car at Magny Cours.
In 2003, Meijer secured the Formula Renault 2000 Netherlands series title with AR Motorsport and debuted in the European Championship of the same series. This achievement led to a Formula Renault V6 test and a Formula 3 test with Fortec at Silverstone. He also tested with Vergani Racing in the World Series light by Nissan, setting impressive lap times. In 2004, he competed in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, achieving multiple podium finishes.
More recently, Meijer has been active in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and the Michelin 24H Series Middle East Trophy, showcasing his versatility and continued passion for racing.
