Jacques Nicolet

Jacques Nicolet, born on April 5, 1956, is a French businessman and racing driver with a fascinating career both on and off the track. Although he had a passion for motorsport from a young age, he initially focused on a business career, co-founding Altarea SCA, a prominent real estate company. It wasn't until the age of 42 that Nicolet began his racing journey, participating in his first race in 1998. He proved to be a skilled gentleman driver, building an impressive record in endurance racing.

Nicolet's involvement in motorsport deepened with the acquisition of Saulnier Racing in 2007, which he renamed OAK Racing. Under his leadership, OAK Racing achieved significant success, including an LM P2 victory in the World Endurance Championship in 2013. His passion extended beyond driving and team ownership. He founded Onroak Automotive (now Ligier Automotive), a constructor of sports racing cars.

Jacques Nicolet has participated in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans nine times, securing an LM P2 podium in 2009. He is also the president of Everspeed, a group of companies linked to the automotive and competition sector. Nicolet's career reflects a blend of business acumen and a lifelong passion for motorsport, making him a notable figure in both worlds.
