Alexander Sims

Alexander Sims, born on March 15, 1988, is a British professional racing driver who currently competes in the IMSA SportsCar Championship for Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports. Sims' career began in karting at the age of 10, and he quickly progressed through the ranks, winning the Super 1 MSA Cadet Championship, the Kartmasters Grand Prix, and the 5 Nations Cup in 2000. His early success led to the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award in 2008, recognizing him as a promising young British driver.

Sims transitioned to single-seaters in 2006 and later combined this with GT and sports car racing, participating in series like the Blancpain Endurance Series, British GT, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He has achieved significant victories, including the 24 Hours of Spa and Petit Le Mans. Sims also spent four seasons in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, driving for Mahindra Racing and BMW i Andretti Motorsport, where he secured a race win in Saudi Arabia and several podium finishes. In 2023, driving for Whelen Engineering Racing in IMSA, he won the IMSA SportsCar Championship.
