Hisashi Wada

Hisashi Wada, born on June 7, 1962, is a versatile Japanese racing driver and team principal with a career spanning several decades. Wada began his professional motorsport journey in 1984 at the Suzuka Silver Cup, showcasing early talent by securing a win from pole position and finishing second overall in the series driving a Toyota AE86. He further honed his skills in open-wheeled racing, participating in FJ1600, Japanese Formula 3, and Japanese Formula 3000.

Wada made his debut in what is now known as Super GT in 1995, initially as a part-time entrant. He later became a mainstay in the series, driving for teams such as RE Amemiya Racing and JLOC, where he gained a reputation for his aggressive driving style. In 2000, he moved to 910 Racing, achieving notable success with a win and consecutive third-place finishes in the championship standings. After returning to JLOC, Wada ventured into team ownership in 2010, establishing R'Qs Motor Sports, where he currently serves as both team principal and representative director. He also used the pseudonym WADA-Q from 2003 to 2005.
