Xolile Letlaka is a South African racing driver and businessman born on September 22, 1970, in Mtata. Letlaka began his racing career in 2018, achieving notable success in South African Endurance, GT, and Extreme racing series. He is the founder of Into Africa Racing and co-hosts the Nine Hours of Kyalami race in partnership with the Southern African Endurance Series. Letlaka also made history as the first black promoter to acquire championship status for the South African GT National Championship in 2022.
Letlaka is a strong advocate for transformation and inclusivity in motorsport. His goal is to inspire black children and people of color to pursue careers in motorsport. In line with this vision, he founded the 'Africa Race Together' foundation. In 2022, Letlaka partnered with Tschops Sipuka and Hennie Kekana to form a historic all-black team for the Kyalami 9 Hour race. He aims to give back to less fortunate individuals and demonstrate that people of color can compete in motorsport.
In 2021, Letlaka and Sipuka achieved two victories and a second-place finish in four starts in the SA Endurance Series, racing their Huracan GT3. Letlaka's achievements extend beyond the track. He aims to inspire the next generation of racers and motorsport professionals, particularly those from disadvantaged communities, showing them that their dreams are valid regardless of their background.
