Patrick Long, born on July 28, 1981, is an accomplished American professional racing driver. Notably, he holds the distinction of being the only American among Porsche's factory racing drivers. Long's career has been marked by success in various racing series, including the American Le Mans Series, where he secured GT2/GT class championships in 2005, 2009, and 2010. He also claimed the Pirelli World Challenge Driver's Championship in 2011 and 2017. A significant achievement includes being part of the team that secured the first international victory for the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid at the 2010 1000 km of Zhuhai.
Long's journey to professional racing began with karting and open-wheel racing. His talent caught the attention of Red Bull, leading to his inclusion in their Formula 1 Driver Search. This event proved pivotal, as it brought him to the attention of Porsche, where he has been a Junior and Factory driver since 2003.
