Arnaud Gomez is a French racing driver with a career spanning several decades. He is a co-founder of Vortex SAS, a French auto racing team and constructor established in 2015. Together with his brother Olivier, Arnaud leads the team in designing, building, and running their own GT cars.
Gomez has an extensive background in motorsport, starting his career in single-seaters in 1994. He has since participated in various racing series, accumulating six French championships and multiple starts at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Vortex cars have become regulars in the European-based 24H Series and other competitions like the Ultimate Cup Series and Campeonato de España de GT. In 2021, the Vortex team secured the GTCX teams' championship with six class podiums from seven starts with their Vortex 1.0 car.
Arnaud's experience is not limited to driving; he is also involved in the engineering and development of Vortex race cars. The team recently introduced the Vortex 2.0, an evolution of their original design featuring a carbon chassis and bodywork, improvements to cooling, and enhanced aerodynamics aimed at increasing top speed while maintaining the car's cornering capabilities. He continues to race, often alongside his brother Olivier, demonstrating a commitment to both the business and the thrill of competitive motorsport.
