Adrian Willmott is a British racing driver with a diverse career spanning single-seaters, GT racing, and historic motorsport. He began his racing journey in single-seaters, competing against notable names like Damon Hill and Johnny Herbert. In 2002, he clinched the Formula Palmer Audi Championship, demonstrating his skill in open-wheel racing.
Willmott's passion for historic motorsport ignited when a friend offered him a drive in an Aston Martin DB4. This experience led him to pursue historic racing more seriously. After selling his business, he decided to focus on ticking off racing achievements with unique and competitive cars. This led him to acquire a Studebaker Lark Daytona, a car with Goodwood history, having previously finished second in the St. Mary's Trophy. Willmott aimed to make the car more suited to Goodwood by modifying its setup and aesthetics. He has also raced a BMW M3 E36 in the Spa 24 Hours and a Porsche 996 GT3-R in the Le Mans 24 Hours. In the FIA GT3 European Championship in 2007, he drove an Ascari KZ1R GT3 for Damax.
Beyond his racing achievements, Willmott is known for his enthusiasm and camaraderie in the racing community. He has teamed up with drivers like Tom Alexander and Shane Brereton, showcasing his driving skills in various iconic vehicles such as the Aston Martin DB4 GT, Jaguar E-Type, and Ford GA Capri.
