Eco Car Cup

Przegląd Eco Car Cup

The Eco Car Cup is a participatory endurance race held at Fuji Speedway in Japan, focusing on hybrid and fuel-efficient vehicles. Since its inception in 2013, the event has been held multiple times, with the 30th edition taking place on February 11, 2025.

The competition comprises two distinct races:

  1. Enjoy 60: A 60-minute endurance race designed for beginners and those new to circuit racing. It emphasizes safety, with a set lap time of 4 minutes and 45 seconds, encouraging participants to focus on eco-driving techniques. Fuel consumption in this race is notably low, typically around 1.5 to 2 liters.

  2. Challenge 180: A more demanding 180-minute endurance race that, while still beginner-friendly, introduces stricter regulations. Participants must complete 50 laps, adhere to a minimum lap time of 3 minutes and 15 seconds, and make five pit stops. This format requires a balanced approach, as driving too slowly may result in insufficient laps, while driving too quickly can lead to higher fuel consumption. Success in this race demands a combination of eco-driving skills, strategic planning, driving proficiency, navigation, and efficient pit work.

The Eco Car Cup offers a platform for amateurs, families, friends, companies, and educational institutions to participate using their personal vehicles. It serves as both a recreational activity and a promotional opportunity, accommodating a diverse range of participants.
