Martin Hippe

Martin Hippe is a German racing driver who has transitioned from a successful career behind the wheel to a team management role. Born on April 4, 1986, Hippe's racing journey began in 2003 in Formula BMW ADAC. He spent two years in this junior series before advancing to the German Formula 3 Cup. A promising opportunity to develop Lola's Formula 3 car was unfortunately cut short when a sponsor withdrew.

Hippe's career includes racing in LMP3. He partnered with Jakub Smiechowski in 2016 when Inter Europol Competition sought a new challenge in endurance racing. Despite a ten-year gap since his last race, Hippe impressed in a test drive and secured his place in the team. From 2016 to 2021, Hippe actively competed in LMP3 races, achieving considerable success, including winning the LMP3 title in the 2018/19 Asian Le Mans Series. Throughout his LMP3 career, Hippe was generally classified as a Bronze driver, successfully overturning attempts to upgrade him to Silver on two occasions.

In recent years, Hippe has moved into team management, marking his first appearance in this role with Inter Europol Competition at Spa-Francorchamps. His team secured a podium finish in the Prototype Cup Germany event, with Jamie Winslow and Damian Ciosek finishing second. Hippe's experience as a driver and race engineer gives him unique insights into the sport, making him a valuable asset to any team.
