Mike Hezemans

Mike Hezemans, born on July 25, 1969, in Eindhoven, Netherlands, is a professional race car driver with a strong legacy in motorsports. He comes from a racing family; his father, Toine Hezemans, and brother, Loris Hezemans, are also well-known figures in the sport.

Mike began his racing journey with karting in 1981, securing the Dutch National Championship in 1984. By 1989, he achieved second place in the European Championship Formula A and third in the World Championship Formula A. Progressing to the Dutch Touring Car Championship (DTCC) in 1990, he quickly made his mark by winning his fourth race and adding two more victories that year. In 1991, he transitioned to the Porsche Supercup and ADAC GT Cup.

Hezemans is most notably recognized for his success in GT racing. In 1994, he entered the BPR Global GT Series, which evolved into the prestigious FIA GT1 Championship in 1997. Mike holds the distinction of being the most successful Dutch driver in this series, with 14 victories. He consistently contended for the championship, finishing second four times (in 2000, 2001, 2008, and 2009) and third overall in 2007 while driving a Corvette C6.R for Carsport Holland, a team he largely ran with his father, Toine. That same year, Mike achieved a significant victory at the 24 Hours of Spa in the Carsport Corvette, repeating this triumph in 2009. In addition to his GT1 achievements, Mike teamed up with Anthony Kumpen to win the 24 Hours of Zolder in 2002, 2003, and 2004. He also holds the record for the most pole positions in GT1, with 12 fastest qualifying laps.
