Edoardo Mortara

Edoardo Mortara, born on January 12, 1987, is a Swiss-Italian-French professional racing driver with a diverse and successful career spanning various motorsport disciplines. Known for his versatility and adaptability, Mortara currently competes in Formula E for Mahindra Racing and in the IMSA SportsCar Championship for Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse.

Mortara's early career saw him rise through the ranks of Formula racing, winning the Formula 3 Euroseries championship in 2010. He then transitioned to the German DTM Championship in 2011, where he remained a prominent figure for several years, achieving runner-up in the 2016 season. His prowess in GT racing, particularly at the Guia Circuit in Macau, has earned him the nickname "Mr. Macau," with a record-breaking ten wins across Formula 3 and GT events. These include multiple Macau GT Cup victories and a win in the FIA GT World Cup.

Since entering Formula E in 2017, Mortara has become a consistent frontrunner. He secured second place in the 2020-21 season and third in the 2021-22 season. Joining Mahindra Racing for the 2023-24 season, Mortara aims to leverage his speed and experience to help the team return to winning form. Beyond Formula E, he also contributes to the development of Lamborghini's SC63 in the World Endurance Championship. He will be competing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time in June 2025.
