Danny Van Dongen

Danny van Dongen, born on March 19, 1983, is a versatile Dutch racing driver and entrepreneur. Currently competing in the MW-V6 Pickup Series, Van Dongen's career spans various racing disciplines.

Van Dongen began his racing journey in the Dutch Citroën Saxo Cup, where he secured a third-place finish in 2000. Progressing through the ranks, he participated in the Renault Clio Cup, Dutch Formula Arcobaleno, and German Formula König. In 2002, he transitioned to GT racing, driving a Marcos Mantis for Eurotech and competing in the Dutch Supercar Challenge and Euro GT Series. He also participated in the Spanish GT Championship with a Marcos LM600.

Returning to his native Netherlands in 2006, Van Dongen raced in the BRL V6 series, achieving multiple podiums. Beyond driving, he established the Dutch Race Driver Academy, a racing school for aspiring drivers. He continued racing in the Dutch Supercar Challenge with a Chevrolet Corvette C6 and later in the Dutch GT4 Championship, securing three wins in 2009 and 2010. In 2011, he founded the Dutch Racing Driver Organisation and raced in the ADAC GT Masters and Dutch Supercar Challenge, winning two races in the latter with an Audi R8 LMS. In 2012, he became a factory driver for Praga, racing the Praga R1.
