Sylvain Tremblay

Sylvain Tremblay, a Quebec native now residing in Coral Springs, Florida, is a highly accomplished racing driver and the owner of SpeedSource Race Engineering. Born on August 9, 1965, Tremblay's journey in motorsports began at the age of 16 when he won his very first race, an SCCA autocross event. This early success ignited a lifelong passion, leading him to establish SpeedSource in 1995. Under his leadership, SpeedSource has become a prominent name in sports car racing, known for its strong partnership with Mazda.

Throughout his career, Tremblay has achieved significant milestones. He secured his first professional win in 1996 and went on to win multiple championships in Speedvision Cup and SCCA ITS competition, primarily behind the wheel of Mazda RX-7s. In 2001, he claimed the Triple Crown Championship, followed by the Grand Am Cup Sport Touring title in 2004. A significant achievement for Tremblay and SpeedSource came in 2008 when they won the Rolex 24 at Daytona in the GT class with a Mazda RX-8, a feat they repeated in 2010.

Tremblay's dedication to Mazda extends beyond racing. SpeedSource has been instrumental in developing Mazda's race cars, including the RX-8 for GRAND-AM Cup ST competition and the Mazda Prototype program. As a driver, Tremblay has participated in numerous Grand-Am Rolex Series races, achieving multiple wins, podium finishes, and pole positions.
