Daniil Kvyat

Daniil Vyacheslavovich Kvyat, born on April 26, 1994, is a Russian racing driver with a career spanning various motorsport disciplines. Kvyat began karting at the age of eight, and his family relocated to Italy to support his racing aspirations. Progressing through the ranks, he joined the Red Bull Junior Team in 2010, marking a significant step in his career. He achieved success in Formula Renault, securing the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps title in 2012. In 2013, he won the GP3 Series, solidifying his position as a rising talent.

Kvyat's Formula 1 debut came in 2014 with Toro Rosso, where he quickly impressed, becoming the then-youngest points scorer in F1 history. His performances led to a promotion to Red Bull Racing in 2015, where he achieved his first podium finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix. However, a controversial mid-season demotion in 2016 saw him return to Toro Rosso. After a hiatus, Kvyat returned to Formula 1 with Toro Rosso (later AlphaTauri), showcasing resilience and securing another podium at the 2019 German Grand Prix. In 2020, he finished 4th at Imola.

Beyond Formula 1, Kvyat has participated in other racing series, including the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2023 and 2024, he competed in the WEC with Prema Racing and Lamborghini, achieving a best finish of 10th at Le Mans in 2024. In 2025, he began competing in the IMSA SportsCar Championship with Lamborghini. Known for his aggressive driving style, which earned him the nickname "Torpedo," Kvyat's career has been a rollercoaster, marked by both highs and lows, demonstrating his determination and talent in the world of motorsport.
