Andrea Gilardi

Andrea Gilardi, born on May 18, 1969, is a talented Italian racing driver with a diverse motorsport background. Gilardi's career began in karting, where he achieved remarkable success, becoming a two-time Junior World Champion in 1984 and 1985, defeating future Formula 1 stars like Michael Schumacher and Mika Häkkinen. His karting achievements paved the way for a transition to single-seater racing.

Gilardi progressed through Formula Alfa Boxer, finishing second in the Under 21 category in 1988. He later participated in Formula 3 and even earned a chance to compete in Formula 3000 in 1992 through the Marlboro-Alfa Romeo challenge, driving for Crypton Motorsport. Unfortunately, a lack of sufficient budget hindered his career advancement despite his talent.

After facing financial constraints, Gilardi transitioned into driver instruction, working with prestigious brands like Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, and Audi. He returned to competition in 2007, participating in the "200 Miglia di Vallelunga" with a Porsche GT3 Cup, securing first place in the Porsche Carrera class. In 2008, he also participated in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli. Currently, besides being a driving instructor, he is involved in PR for a karting team, manages a car dealership, and contributes to a local sporting association.
