David Staab is an American racing driver who began his competitive journey in 2011 after an exhilarating experience behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Gallardo. Initially an amateur racer, Staab honed his skills at Apex Driving Academy at MotorSport Ranch. He quickly transitioned to competitive racing, marking his debut race weekend with a victory in his class, driving a Mazda Global MX-5 Cup car, winning three races.

Staab's racing endeavors primarily involve Mazda-powered cars. He actively participates in the Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup, sanctioned by IMSA, utilizing an ND2 generation Mazda MX-5 Cup car. These cars are prepared to racing specifications by Flis Performance, featuring modifications such as a roll cage, fuel cell, and enhanced suspension. He also has competed in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, achieving podium finishes. In 2022, he won the Am/LB Cup race at the Lamborghini Grand Finals with Nikko Reger.

Beyond the track, Staab balances his racing passion with his profession as a Dallas-based corporate restructuring attorney. He uses racing simulators like iRacing to further develop his skills.
