Eshan PIERIS

Eshan Pieris is a Sri Lankan racing driver making waves in the Asian motorsports scene. Born on June 25, 1998, Pieris began his racing journey relatively late at the age of 14, quickly establishing himself as a formidable competitor. The son of Sri Lankan racing legend David Pieris, Eshan has carved his own path in the racing world, securing Sri Lanka's first F3 win in 2019 while driving for Absolute Racing.

Pieris has achieved significant milestones, including winning the X30 Senior Class in the Macau International Kart Grand Prix in 2017 and becoming the first Sri Lankan to win an Asian karting championship, defeating seasoned drivers from across Asia. In March 2024, he secured a class win and second overall at the 12 Hours of Sepang in Malaysia with Absolute Racing, driving a Porsche 911 GT3 R. He is also participating in the 2024 Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS.

Beyond his achievements on the track, Pieris is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of racers. As a racing coach, he aims to identify and develop emerging talents, hoping to see them represent Sri Lanka on the global stage. He is also involved in expanding motorsports in Sri Lanka through initiatives like SpeedBay at PearlBay, an international standard leisure park. He secured podium finishes in the TSS Super Car GT3 Pro class last season.
