Racing Driver Tom Ingram

Tom Ingram, born on August 20, 1993, is a highly accomplished British racing driver, currently competing in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) for Team BRISTOL STREET MOTORS. Ingram's career began in karting at the young age of 8, quickly demonstrating his talent with multiple wins and championships. He transitioned to car racing in 2009, entering the Ginetta Junior Championship, which he won in 2010. His success continued with a Ginetta G50 Cup victory in 2011 and a Ginetta GT Supercup title in 2013, marked by an impressive 22 podium finishes, including 11 wins.

Ingram made his BTCC debut in 2014 with Speedworks Motorsport, driving a Toyota Avensis and earning the title of top rookie. He secured his first BTCC podium in 2015 and his first win in the 2016 season opener. 2017 saw him achieve third place overall and claim the Independents' Championship. In 2018, he narrowly missed the BTCC Drivers' title but again won the Independents' trophy. Driving a Toyota Corolla for Team Toyota GB with Ginsters in 2019 and 2020, he consistently performed well, securing multiple wins and high championship finishes. 2021 marked a move to EXCELR8 Motorsport, piloting a Hyundai i30N.

The pinnacle of Ingram's career arrived in 2022 when he clinched his first BTCC Drivers' Championship, winning six races. Although he lost the title in 2023, he continues to race with Team BRISTOL STREET MOTORS, aiming to reclaim the championship in the current season. Ingram was also recognized early in his career as a British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) Rising Star.
