Racing Driver Tom Edgar

Tom Edgar, born on October 29, 2004, is a rising star in the world of motorsport hailing from Belfast, Northern Ireland. A third-generation racer, following in the footsteps of his grandfather Brian and father Mike, Tom began his racing journey in karting at the age of six. He quickly found success, achieving multiple wins in Irish and British karting championships. His early achievements include the Ulster Karting Winter Series Championship in 2015.

In 2020, Edgar transitioned to car racing in the Ginetta Junior Championship with TCR, finishing 6th overall and 4th among rookies. He continued in the series in 2021 before making his debut in the British GT Championship in 2022 with Toyota Gazoo Racing UK, securing 4th in the GT4 driver standings and 3rd in the Silver Cup. In 2023, Tom stepped up to the GT4 European Series with Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport, showcasing his talent on the international stage and achieved 3rd place in his debut season. He is currently competing in the ADAC GT4 Germany with FK Performance Motorsport.

Tom's racing ambition is to become a factory team driver and compete in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. He cites Max Verstappen as his favorite driver and the Red Bull RB15 as his favorite racing car, with Silverstone being his preferred circuit. Edgar is also part of the MSUK Academy Futures Programme, and was nominated for the BRDC Rising Stars.
