Racing Driver Todd Treffert

Todd Treffert is an American racing driver with a diverse background spanning vintage racing and modern GT competition. He has been actively involved in motorsports for over 14 years. Treffert's early racing experiences centered around classic 1970s air-cooled Porsche cars. More recently, he expanded his collection to include three Nissan R34 GT-R cars sourced from Nissan's heritage museum. These GT-Rs, originally raced in the JGTC series (now Super GT), offered him a similar horsepower experience to GT3 cars but without modern driver aids like traction control and ABS.

Transitioning to modern GT racing, Treffert joined the GT America series, part of SRO Motorsports America, to gain experience in the GT3 category. He pilots a Mercedes-AMG GT3. Despite his extensive vintage racing background, Treffert acknowledged a learning curve in adapting to the advanced technology and driving style of modern GT cars. His first win in the GT America series came at Virginia International Raceway (VIR).

Treffert has also been a consistent competitor in Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) events. He has achieved numerous victories in HSR events, often driving his Speedconcepts 1974 Porsche 911 IROC, prepared by the 901 Shop. These wins include overall victories in the Sasco Sports International/American Challenge and GT Classic (GTC) races at events like the HSR Spring Fling at Sebring International Raceway and the HSR Fall Historics at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. He also participates in events such as the HSR Classic 6 Hours of The Glen, and the HSR Watkins Glen Historics.
